Inaugural Prayer

Father,

May you give Barack Obama wisdom to lead the country and defend the Constitution in these challenging days: wisdom to grasp the import of events, wisdom to do the right thing, wisdom to say yes to righteousness and no to ungodliness. May he have the wisdom to understand that America cannot be a great nation without You and your Word. Grant him wisdom at home and wisdom abroad. Let wisdom give him eyes to see his duty and to discern his friends from his enemies. May wisdom lead him in the path and pursue him on the way. Give him wisdom to stay true to his convictions, or change them, as necessary. Grant him through your Spirit wisdom beyond his years, for such a time as this.
